The Varitone sound absorption system from IAC Acoustics feature architecturally compatible, rectangular panels for attachment to walls or suspension from ceilings of enclosed or semi-enclosed areas. Varitone sound absorption panels reduce the distracting echo/reverberation effects caused inside buildings and thus create an acoustically softer more pleasant ambiance improving voice and audio communication.

Varitone panels are manufactured using a perforated steel case, enveloping an acoustic absorbent core making them ideal for high traffic areas such as corridors in schools or other demanding applications. Due to their rigid construction, Varitone panels are also ideally suited for sports halls and gymnasiums where softer panels may by susceptible to impact damage. As Varitone panels are easy to clean due to their perforated steel cases, they are also ideal for industrial applications where panels need to be cleaned easily such as factories or food preparation facilities.

Varitone panels have standard finishes of galvanized steel and polyester powder coat (PPC). Other finishes, such as vinyl coated steel are also available on request.

Varitone Sound Absorption Coefficients

In the spring of 2019, IAC Acoustics partnered with C. Erickson and Sons, Inc who had been contracted directly by the university to provide construction service related to the renovation of  University of the Arts (UArts) located in Center City, Philadelphia.
