Sales Engineer

IAC Acoustics, a Catalyst Acoustics Group Company is looking for a Sales Engineer.  This Sales Engineer is considered a technical and commercial expert in the Industrial product line and is responsible for sales of that product line in a defined sales market, which may also include some Key Accounts.  The Sales Engineer duties are selling into specific markets include revenue generation, long term development of the sales market, increased market share, reliable forecasting, and delivery of profitable orders for IAC Acoustics.  

Responsibilities

Understand customer requirements and integrate IAC Acoustics products and solutions into the customers' environments.

  • Develop and prepare proposals for new and existing customers.
  • Serve as a face of the IAC Acoustics brand while traveling to customer sites and meeting with customers to conduct sales calls.
  • Effectively communicate with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain strong professional relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Performs other related duties to support the sales team as needed.
  • Creating long-term plans for development of sales markets.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in an industrial environment, with a strong record of sustained success.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to display a sense of urgency.
  • Proficiency of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Willingness and availability to travel 50% of the time.
  • Ability to discuss highly technical concepts to all audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

  • A four (4) year degree, preferably in a relevant Engineering or Technical field of study or may substituted relevant sales experience
  • Experience in Technology Sales
  • Experience with acoustics or acoustic products
