IAC Acoustics Modular Studios Offer KMA Music a Perfect Solution

Fran Manzella of FM Designs from working with Michael Kissel at KMA Music Studios has the following to offer about this one-of-a-kind studio, “The Writers Studio is the brain child of Michael Kissel. Mike envisioned a cooperative arrangement with young writer/producers who could realize their creative projects within a world class stimulating environment”. KMA is located in the Brill Building with amazing views of Times Square (the “Center of the Universe”). KMA offers a brilliant recording experience for every genre and includes a beautiful live room, Yamaha grand piano and the first installation of the Griffin G1.5 main monitors augmented with an LFE18 subwoofer.

Isolation was a key factor in the success of the facility as was the availability of limited space. The intent was to optimize the recording area space while maintaining the highest level of noise isolation between rooms. It was a perfect fit for IAC’s AccuTone™ 2 Broadcast Series Rooms and Noise-Lock® components. IAC provided light-weight modular Broadcast Series rooms with NIC 70 isolation while using two IAC 4 inch AccuTone™ 2 panels.

The broadcast and recording industries have long recognized the design and financial benefits of modular studios. Now, IAC Acoustics’ AccuTone™ 2 Broadcast Series newest family of modular sound-conditioned environments, adds the look and feel of traditional architecture to sound control rooms and suites that can be custom designed for any application. And, they are engineered for high in-field noise reduction, greater comfort, and enhanced performance.
