IAC Acoustics Noise-Lock® Components Guarantees In-Field Performance for KMA Music Studios
IAC Noise-Lock® doors were installed because of their guaranteed in-field noise reduction. The challenge for the door design was full glass vision panels and double leaf configurations. “More than half of the door is glass with no compromise to the acoustic isolation of the assembly,” according to Craig D’Anna, Business Manager for the Architectural Group at IAC America. “Our Engineering and Research teams developed this full glass assembly with excellent noise reduction, particularly at the low end which is so important in studios today. IAC is the only company with STC 55 full glass assembly, laboratory certified and field proven in installations worldwide.”
Noise-Lock® Sound Control Doors are fully factory assembled and include leaf, frame, seals, hinges, glass, glazing, locks and closers. The assembly is pre-hung and factory tested before shipment. The door assemblies are easily installed during the finish phase of construction using the IAC patented split frame design. Hinges are cam-lift and the bottom seal is passive and Teflon coated for ease of operation. The Noise-Lock® Architectural line is available with UL10C fire rating in single, double and multi-leaf configurations.
IAC Noise-Lock® windows are also fully factory assembled and includes glass, glazing and stops, and factory tested. Windows are available in sloped configurations with high in-field noise reduction.
